IT Technical Project Manager

Role Description

The IT Technical Project Manager (TPM) for the Asset Management Platform is the leader responsible for implementing a crucial asset management platform. The TPM will oversee the implementation of roadmap, which encompasses a series of interdependent initiatives and core deliverables.

Role Objectives

The TPM will drive execution activities and be a strong leader for the engaged project roles. The ideal candidate will manage several technical initiatives and deliverables across the client's organization. Additionally, the TPM will implement the roadmap according to a concrete and executable plan, ensuring that expected goals are met. We expect the candidate to work with minimal supervision in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional product/platform teams, including product owners, project managers, architects, engineers, and business leaders at the mid to C-level.

Regular Tasks and Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and leadership in project planning and execution.
  • Recognize stakeholder structures and proactively manage their expectations.
  • Coordinate between initiatives and key deliverables to enhance execution effectiveness.
  • Drive the project agenda with full engagement from all involved roles.
  • Proactively manage opportunities, risks, and issues at the project level.
  • Initiate pre-studies to determine the scope, impediments, solution architectures, and implementation strategies for in-scope deliverables.
  • Collaborate effectively with various roles within the customer’s technology landscape, such as technology consultants and advisors, enterprise and solution architects, tech leads, and other technical project managers. 
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business IT Owners, and Architects, to ensure project alignment with their investment plans and technology strategies. 
  • Ensure alignment between the project and product teams with technology strategy goals, the project roadmap, and governance policies.

Professional Attributes

  • At least seven years of experience as an IT Project Manager.
  • Experience in the field of Nessus and Flexera software and license management.
  • Experience in ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB and practical knowledge of ITIL is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with a team of direct reports.
  • Strong focus on product operationalization and execution, with a proven track record of achievements.
  • Proactive approach to managing risks, with strong skills for solving issues and removing impediments.
  • Candidates with creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset are preferred to drive successful execution.
  • Understanding or experience in IT application management and IT architecture is beneficial.
  • Practical experience in agile methodologies at scale is very helpful.
  • Fluent English at the C1 level is a must.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Agile skills and project management certifications such as SAFe, SCRUM, PMP, or PRINCE would be advantageous.
  • Understanding the IT technology stack and IT project management is helpful for effective leadership.

  • Working Hours: Full-time
  • Location: Remote (within the EU) with possible travel to client locations in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.

Recruitment information

  • Engagement in the customer organization begins in September 2025.
  • A candidate selection is planned in July to facilitate a smooth transition to a TPM role at the customer organization.
  • The customer is a global ICT organization with offices in over fifty countries and a global IT department serving over 200,000 users.
